Dr Ivan Subiakto is a cardiologist who has completed his physician and adult cardiology training at various hospitals in Melbourne. Having always had a keen passion in managing patients with arrhythmia (an abnormal heart rate and/or rhythm causing various symptoms, such as palpitations, irregular heart beat and fainting), he subsequently undertook 2 years of specialised training in pacemaker implants and electrophysiology at Austin Hospital (Melbourne) and at Vancouver Island Cardiology (Canada) where he gained expertise in performing the new Left Bundle Physiologic Pacing strategy.

Ivan’s current appointment includes general cardiology and arrhythmia, where he performs thorough assessments and delivers targeted medical and invasive treatment. He has regular sessions implanting pacemakers at Wollongong Hospital.
Ivan is an avid learner to ensure that he is abreast with current treatment options to ensure his patients receive the best care. He is also an excellent listener and ensures that management plans are personally catered to the patient.
Ivan and his wife enjoy long scenic walks with their dog as well as spending quality time with family and friends outside work. He is proficient in both English and Indonesian.
