Dr Edward Danson is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong. He is trained in coronary and structural heart conditions and offers some of the latest and most innovative treatments to the area. He also practices all aspects of general cardiology and implants permanent pacemakers and defibrillators.

He trained in medicine at Oxford University, UK and has a PhD in cardiac physiology from Oxford. He trained in Interventional Cardiology in London and Sydney. He was a Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology at King’s College London and has completed two international fellowships before being appointed as a consultant in 2016.
His interests include complex coronary interventions, aortic valve interventions and research into novel uses of guide wires and imaging catheters. He works in Wollongong Public and Private Hospitals and consults at The Cardiac Centre NSW
