Dr Yeung completed his advanced training in cardiology in Canberra Hospital in 2006, followed by interventional fellowships at Westmead Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

He has been working as a cardiologist in the Illawarra for over 10 years and is currently appointed as a senior staff specialist in cardiology at Wollongong Hospital. He also has admitting rights at Wollongong Private, and St George Private Hospitals. He is a Senior Lecturer with the Graduate School of Medicine with University of Wollongong, and a Clinical Lecturer with the University of New South Wales.
His areas of interests include coronary angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention, transthoracic and transoesophgeal echocardiogram, as well as non-invasive cardiac investigations.
He was one of only two cardiologists who started the CT coronary angiogram service in the Illawarra area.
Dr Yeung holds fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.He speaks fluent Cantonese.
