Dr Aaron Yeung is a consultant and interventional cardiologist. He graduated in medicine with honours from University of New South Wales in 1999.
He completed his advanced training in cardiology in Canberra Hospital in 2006, followed by interventional fellowships at Westmead Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
He was appointed as a staff specialist in cardiology at Wollongong Hospital in January 2009. He also has admitting rights at Figtree Private, St George Private, Prince of Wales Private Hospital and also performs procedures at Sutherland and Eastern Heart Clinic.
He is currently the Cardiologist Representative on the Medical Advisory Council at Figtree Private Hospital. He is a Senior Lecturer with the Graduate School of Medicine with University of Wollongong, and a Clinical Lecturer with the University of New South Wales.
His areas of interests include coronary angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention, transthoracic and transoesophgeal echocardiogram, as well as non-invasive cardiac investigations.
He was one of only two cardiologists who started the CT coronary angiogram service in the Illawarra area.
Dr Yeung holds fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
He speaks fluent Cantonese.
